Stuff a food filter bag with the licorice, the hawthorn and the hibiscus.
Fill a stockpot with 2.5L water; Bring to the boil over a high heat;
Add the food filter bag from the step 4 and bring to the boil over a high heat again; Turn to a medium heat; Cover the pot with its lid; Cook over a medium heat for 1 hour; Add seasonings: Stir the seasonings into the drink over a medium heat till completely dissolved; Turn off the heat; Arrange the drink into serving bowls.
