1 cup of soy beans, 1 cup of water, 1 tomato, 1/2 onion, 1T garlic (crushed), 1T tomato paste, 2t butter, 1t herbs.
SEASONINGS:
1/2t salt, 1/2t sugar.
PREPARATION :
1. Rinse soy beans; Soak for 30 minutes.
2. Dice tomato and onion.
3. Heat a non-stick pan; Add butter and garlic; Stir-fry until fragrant.
4. Add diced onion and tomato; Stir-fry over a low heat until almost done.
5. Add tomato paste and soy beans; Add water and simmer over a low heat for 30 minutes.
6. Flavor with seasonings; Garnish with herbs. Ready to serve.
COOKING TIPS:
To save yourself from tears when cutting onion, you have two choices: (1) Place it in the fridge for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing; (2) Soak it in iced water for 10 minutes before slicing.
