300g(2/3lb.) Chinese yam,10 jujubes (also named as red dates), 300g(2/3lb.) spareribs, 6 cups of water.
SEASONINGS:
2t salt, 2t rice wine.
PREPARATION :
1. Peel, rinse and coarsely slice Chinese yam; Seed and rinse jujubes.
2. Rinse and thinly slice spareribs; Blanch in boiling water for 3 minutes so as to drain the fat and blood; Remove and immediately rinse in running water for a while; Pat dry.
3. Add seedless jujubes, spareribs and 6 cups of water to a pot; Bring to the boil; Cook over a medium heat for 30 minutes; Add sliced Chinese yam and cook for 10 more minutes; Flavor with seasonings. Ready to serve.
