SEASONINGS:
160g(0.35lb.) white sugar, 48g(0.11lb.) vegetable oil.
PREPARATION :
1. Add egg white to cornstarch, and mix well.
2. Peel and cut bananas into sections; Coat banana sections with flour ; Apply the mixture of egg white and cornstarch to the flour-rolled-banana-sections evenly.
3. Heat a wok with 2 cups of vegetable oil; Turn to a low heat; Slowly slide in each banana section into the wok and deep-fry till golden brown; Remove and drain.
4. Set aside the oil; Add seasonings; Cook the syrup over a low heat till slightly brown; Return the fried banana sections to the wok; Turn off the heat; Stir well quickly so that each banana section has been glazed evenly; Remove. Ready to serve.
COOKING TIPS:
1. The best proportion of seasonings is 15g oil for every 50g sugar.
2. When cooking syrup, it is important to keep on stirring slowly with a ladle.
