Preparation/方法
  1. Rinse dried red kidney beans under running water; Soak them in water for 3 hours; Remove and drain them.
  2. Rinse dried tangerine peel; Soak it in water for 3 hours; Remove it; Gently scrape off any white pith.
  3. Rinse raw shelled peanuts; Soak them in water for an hour; Remove and drain them.
  4. Remove husks of corn; Rinse and drain it; Cut it into sections.
  5. Rinse, drain and cut chayote into chunks.
  6. Rinse and drain uncooked cashew nuts.
  7. Rinse dried figs under running water; Drain them; Cut them into halves.
  8. Fill a stockpot with 2800ml water; Add the dried tangerine peel, the red kidney beans and the peanuts; Bring to the boil over a high heat; Add all the remaining ingredients, and bring to the boil over a high heat again; Turn to a low heat; Cover the pot with its lid; Cook over a low heat for 2 hours; Stir seasonings into the soup; Turn off the heat; Arrange the soup into serving bowls; Ready to serve.
